I’m getting married next may, and I’ve just started planning my wedding. I’m trying to figure out what kind of favors I want to have at my wedding. I’m trying to do a low-budget wedding..but not cheap. I don’t mind making my own favors. Does anyone have any neat ideas??

i thought of having a table with all different types of candy and bags and scoops and letting everyone fill up their own bag with candy but i’m not sure yet. i think more than likely i will go to the craft store and get some tulle and ribbon and going and getting candy and filling the bags myself and putting a little tag on them. you could make your own CD too if you wanted to but that is really a lot of work.

I’m giving my guests tree seedlings that i ordered off of nurseryman.com. It cost me 160 for 200 trees. Pretty cheap, i thought and they are guarenteed to be healthy when then arrive. Then i just got old burlap bags that i cut into squares to wrap around the roots. Tie with ribbon and voila, you have a nice favor that will last and your guests will think of you and your hubby as their tree grows. Good luck

I really like candy buffets. They can double as a dessert (plus wedding cake) and a favor. In addition, they are interactive.
Adults love candy just as much as children. A candy buffet is a mature and classy way to have adults indulgence in their childhood favorites.
It’s also inexpensive. Candy can be bought in bulk. The glassware, dishes, etc for the buffet can be bought at craft stores, online, the grocery store. Basically anywhere. Places like Pier One puts glass jars and vases on sale for dirty cheap. A few vases can cost you $20-30 (if you buy them at 4-5 bucks each)
Since you have until May, you can do this super cheap. Just look around for sales, especially at the end of the season. The more time you have, the more you’ll be able to shop around. I bet you could even get a majority of the containers/jars for less then $3 after the Christmas Holidays and such.
